Committed to Quality

All teachers at Community Preschool have college degrees, are licensed by the State of Virginia, and are certified in CPR and First Aid. Each class is co-taught by two teachers to maintain a low child to teacher ratio.


Jennifer Runion

Ms. Jennifer

Class: 4-day afternoon

Ms. Jennifer has been teaching at Community Preschool since 2001. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University with a double major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Prior to her tenure at Community Preschool, Ms. Jennifer taught kindergarten for 12 years, and spent nine years teaching at another private preschool. She enjoys young children and teaching them about science and art. Ms. Jennifer and her husband Chris live in the Bridgewater area and have two adult sons.


Lisa Moomaw

Ms. Lisa

Classes: 2-day morning, 3-day morning

Ms. Lisa has been teaching at Community Preschool since 2007. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from Ferrum College, and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech. Prior to teaching at Community Preschool, Ms. Lisa taught elementary school for seven years. She enjoys working with young children in many creative ways, and is a mother of two Community Preschool alumni. Ms. Lisa and her husband, Thomas, live with their two sons in Rockingham County.


Betsey Branner

Ms. Betsy

Classes: 2-day morning, 3-day morning , 4-day afternoon

Ms. Betsey has been teaching at Community Preschool since 2013. She graduated from Virginia Intermont College, and taught public school for six years. Ms. Betsey loves Community Preschool and wishes she had sent her our children here. She lives with her husband, Rob, and their two daughters in Rockingham County.
